What is your primary product or service?
MEP provides educational opportunities, life skills development and cultural enrichment for women and girls to enable them to improve the quality of their lives.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We provide an educational opportunity that directly and immediately benefits the girls and women that are serviced here.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One. Eventually we would like to expand.

Use the Howard Street/Cobo Roof exit from the Lodge Fwy. Turn right onto Howard St. We are located between 6th & Trumbull, behind the National Dry Goods store. There is street in parking in the front, and a parking lot behind the building, accessible from Abbott St, one block north of Howard St.
What type of payments do you accept?
The girls' programs are free. There is a $25 charge for the women's program. Cash, credit / debit card, and money orders are accepted.
Which areas do you service?
Girls are tutored in reading and math. Women are given classroom instruction 4 hours a day, 4 days a week for GED preparation and literacy. Job readiness classes and assistance to women returning from incarceration are provided.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Amy Amador is the Executive Director. The Women's program is led by Winn Crackel and the Girls' program is led by Melanie Ward.
What are your hours of operation?
The office is open 9am to 5pm year-round. Program hours -
Women's program: Monday through Thursday 9am-1pm.
Girls' Program: 3pm-7pm during the school year. For more specific information please call the office.
